The case studies presented below were gathered during our latest ‘Most Significant Change’ workshop. This insightful session provided a platform for youth participants, mentors, and partners involved in our Dream Makers Programme to share their impactful stories.

These case studies offer a glimpse into the transformative experiences and positive changes brought about by our initiatives, showcasing the real-world impact of our collective efforts in empowering youth, fostering mentorship, and building meaningful partnerships.

CASE STUDY 1 – MENtor

Small Change: Remarkable Transformation

“I have witnessed small changes with my mentees with incredible transformations. The mentorship journey and interactions have supported the mentees in shaping their thinking, branding, and dressing code towards a professional trajectory, upon completing the personal branding topic, which involved writing a cover letter and CV, one of my mentees applied for a job. He was surprised by the remarkable responses he gave during his job interview.

After the interview, which he successfully passed, he was placed on a four-month job probation. Upon completion, he was confirmed as the finance officer at his placement, where he’s been working up to date. The second mentee I was assigned has shown a remarkable transformation and a strong sense of personal initiative since she has applied for jobs using the professional job-seeking skills she has acquired through the Dream Makers Mentorship programme.”

CASE STUDY 2 – MENTOR

 Astonishing Engagement with outstanding Outcome

My interactions with the two mentees I was assigned for this programme have been smooth, since they both shared a similar interest in business and entrepreneurship, which I am vastly knowledgeable about. One of the mentees has ventured into Arts. During our interactions, I have supported her in developing customer communication skills, which she has employed in marketing of her products and customer retention.

The second mentee was involved in entrepreneurship, and she shifted from business engagement to seeking employment; thus, we transitioned the mentorship programme and focused more on personal branding. I supported her in developing her cover letter and CV, and when she applied for the first job opportunity, she was called for an interview and was later confirmed for a job placement in Nairobi.”
